Parents and players gather on a Monday night at the field. The sun is blazing, casting a yellow glow over everything, ready to burn out your retinas. You watch a hoard of man-size boys throw the ball and take each other down. Thankfully, the jerseys are numbered because they all look the same with a helmet on. By the time the sun starts to set, there's only five minutes left in the 4th quarter. Sweat, pain, and hours of practice time precede this game. It's high school football.
